Scholarships

1. MADHURIKA EDUCATIONAL & CHARITABLE TRUST Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students of various courses based on their outstanding academic performance.

2.⁠ ⁠Best Performance Merit Scholarships: (HIMT award of excellence)

To promote and reward academic excellence, the management of HIMT College has decided to establish scholarships for meritorious students. The scholarship, titled the “HIMT Award of Excellence,” will be presented to one student with the best overall performance across all courses.

Rank 1 : Rs. 5,000/-
Rank 2 : Rs. 3,000/-

3.⁠ ⁠Sports Scholarship

Sports scholarships are awarded to students with an outstanding record in sports. Typically, students who have participated in National and International level competitions conducted by accredited Sports Boards are eligible for these scholarships. Students who have won National level prize would be offered an one time scholarship of Rs 10,000/- in the course fees. Similarly, if any student has won a State level prize would be offered an one time scholarship of Rs 5,000/- in the course fees at the time of joining the course, or in the year which he wins the National or State level prize.

4. Scholarship for Indian Armed Forces

50% off on tuition fees for the students whose parent has been Martyred while in the service of Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy or Airforce)*.

*A confirmatory certificate from the Government of India must be produced.

5.⁠ ⁠HIMT Annual Scholarship award

In addition to the above, IME(I) & NI scholarship is open to the candidates of various institutes at All India level and Southern Part of India respectively . HIMT has constituted HIMT Annual Scholarship to 5 cadets including one girl cadet for the above IMEI HIMT Scholarship award.

6.⁠ ⁠Female candidate’s Scholarship

HIMT College is proud to support and encourage women in the shipping industry. As part of this initiative, we are offering a scholarship of ₹25,000 for girl candidates enrolling in our pre-sea courses.

Female Candidates can avail an additional Rs. 1,00,000/- discount from Maritime Training Trust (MTT), subject to their approval.

7.⁠ ⁠Life long Scholarship

Seafarers need to regularly complete various modular courses, simulator-based courses, and revalidation courses every five years. To support this, HIMT offers loyalty discounts to candidates. The discount amount ranges from ₹500 to ₹3000 per course, depending on the number of courses completed at HIMT.

8.⁠ ⁠Post-sea Course Fee Scholarship

All Pre-Sea Candidates of HIMT, after graduation, can avail the following alumni discounts, over and above the loyalty discount of upto 3,000/-
All D.G.Shipping Approved Courses (Apart from Refresher Courses)- 5% discount on course fees paid.
UK MCA Approved Courses- Flat Rs 1,000/- discount
Candidates need to avail the discount by mailing [email protected] within 1 month of the course commencement

Terms and Conditions:

• ⁠Scholarships are open to students who meet the academic and financial requirements set forth by the institute.
• Applicants must submit valid documentation, including proof of academic transcripts and the claim form, by the specified deadline
• Scholarships are awarded based on merit.
• The decision of the scholarship committee is final and binding.
• ⁠Attendance must be maintained in the particular term.
• Students are required to adhere to the institute’s code of conduct and disciplinary policies
• The scholarship will be reviewed annually and may be revoked in case of non-compliance with the terms.
• ⁠Any falsification of information or documentation will result in immediate disqualification from the scholarship and possible disciplinary action.
• The institute reserves the right to modify or terminate the scholarship program without prior notice.
• The scholarship may be revoked for any of the following reasons:
• Academic underperformance.
• Misconduct or violation of institute rules.
• Lack of attendance
• Withdrawal from the course without prior approval.
