In an effort to inspire the next generation of mariners, four cadets from HIMT College, Chennai, recently visited Bishop Corrie Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School to raise awareness about careers in the Merchant Navy. The session was held under the leadership of B.Sc. course in-charge, Captain P. Vasanth, and supported by Garish Jerome Sir and Uma Mam.
The cadets—Pavithra.P (B.Sc 13),R. Sreeram (B.Sc 11), Jianna Elizabeth (B.Tech 14), and Anandhu P.S. (B.Sc 13)—engaged with the students of the school, sharing insights on the Merchant Navy as a career option. They provided an overview of the industry, addressing common misconceptions and highlighting the opportunities available in this global field.
