The International Maritime Employers’ Council (IMEC) represents over 300+ Maritime Employers and is the only international employers’ organization dedicated to maritime industrial relations.

After successfully launching Cadet Training Programs in the Philippines and South Africa provide sustainable crewing solutions, IMEC launched the Indian Cadet Training Program in India in sept 2023.

Eligibility for sponsoring IMEC Member Company:

Academic Performance:
⁠Xth – Above 70% aggregate
Xth English – Above 75%

⁠XIIth PCM- Above 70%
⁠⁠XIIth English- Above 75%

⁠BTech (Mech)- CGPA – 7.5 or more

(10 +2 + 4) years Degree must be completed without any year down or back log during his education.

⁠BMI below 23 medically fit & no colour blindness

Must have completed 10th and 12th from a recognized board.

The degree must be recognized by the government or AICTE.

Note:
Candidates with extra curriculars like involvement in college representation for technical festival events, Internship completed during semesters, Projects completed during semesters & any sports played for inter college, District or State level, during school/College, NCC certificate course during school & college level will be preferred

Eye Health:
No eye conditions, full eye movement, normal pupil response, good binocular vision. No Color blindness and Color vision tested with Ishihara Chart.

Physical Fitness:
Candidates must be medically fit including eye sight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, as amended, and need to produce a certificate of medical fitness issued by D.G. Shipping Approved Doctor.

  • ⁠You can apply for the IMEC Sponsorship Drive only with 1 IMEC Member Institute once.
  • Your application will not be considered for the same year, if you apply the second time, if you fail to clear the selection in the first attempt.
  • ⁠We offer scholarships for deserving students. View the list of scholarships.
  • The Application Fee paid is non-refundable.
  • ⁠As per D. G. Shipping Guidelines, passport is mandatory to join the course.
  • Caution Deposits are refundable at the end of the course after adjustments of laundry charges & damages, breakages etc., if any.
  • Fees paid is forfeited if withdrawn from the Course after the course commencement.
  • Admissions are subject to meeting the mandatory requirement of course.
  • ⁠⁠All fees can be paid online. We offer Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card, and Debit Card. ⁠Cash/Cheque payments are not entertained.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Full Refund : You are eligible for a full refund of the initial amount paid if you do not pass the IMEC Sponsorship Assessment or Interview.

Forfeiture of Initial Amount : The initial amount paid will be forfeited if:

  • You withdraw after your details have been sent to the Sponsoring Company,
  • You withdraw after being shortlisted in the Assessment or Interview.

Note:

  • Application Fee is non-refundable.
  • Refund requests must be submitted via email to admission@himtcollege.com.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 30 days of receiving the cancellation email.
