The International Maritime Employers’ Council (IMEC) represents over 260 Maritime Employers and is the only international employers’ organization dedicated to maritime industrial relations.
After successfully launching Cadet Training Programs in the Philippines and South Africa provide sustainable crewing solutions, IMEC launched the Indian Cadet Training Program in India in sept 2023.

ELIGIBILITY
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION | AGE LIMIT | MEDICAL EXAMINATION | Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering Academic Performance: Above 60% Aggregate (consolidated marks) across all semesters Minimum 50% marks in English in 10th/12th/Degree Examinations Must have completed 10th and 12th from a recognized board. The degree must be recognized by the government or AICTE. Note: Candidates awaiting their final semester results are also encouraged to apply for the course. The students would however need to produce the 8th Semester Marksheet and have an aggregate of above 60% prior to the course commencement. | Not more than 24 Years as of 31st March 2024. - After successfully clearing the HIMT Interview and paying to Token Amount, you will be added to a WhatsApp Group where HIMT will give you training to prepare for the IMEC Written Test & Interview
- IMEC Member Companies will select up to 20 candidates for the Pre-Course Placement.
- If the candidate is not selected by IMEC and does not wish to continue with HIMT in the next batch, they can avail a FULL REFUND of the Initial Fees paid except Application Fee (Application Fee is non- refundable) [With effect for applications from 1st June 2024- Refer your confirmation email for cancellation]. The refund timeline will be as per our cancellation & refund policy.
- The Application Fee paid is non-refundable
- As per D. G. Shipping Guidelines, passport is mandatory to join the course.
- Caution Deposits are refundable at the end of the course after adjustments of laundry charges & damages, breakages etc., if any.
- Fees paid is forfeited if withdrawn from the Course after the course commencement.
- Admissions are subject to meeting the mandatory requirement of course.
- All fees can be paid online. We offer Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card, and Debit Card. Cash/Cheque payments are not entertained.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Full Refund : You are eligible for a full refund of the initial amount paid if you do not pass the IMEC Sponsorship Assessment or Interview.
Forfeiture of Initial Amount : The initial amount paid will be forfeited if:
- You withdraw after your details have been sent to the Sponsoring Company,
- You withdraw after being shortlisted in the Assessment or Interview.
Note:
- Application Fee is non-refundable.
- Refund requests must be submitted via email to [email protected].
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 30 days of receiving the cancellation email.
