ETO 32 Passing – Out Ceremony at HIMT College
On October 24, 2024, HIMT College had the distinct honor of welcoming Capt. Makesh Sivaram Krishnan, Senior Tanker Operations Manager at Fleet Management Pvt. Ltd., as the esteemed guest for the ETO 32 Batch Pass-Out Ceremony. This highly anticipated event was a significant milestone for both the cadets and the institution, marking the transition of the ETO 32 batch from students to maritime professionals. The visit of Capt. Makesh added prestige and inspiration, motivating the future officers as they prepared to embark on their careers.
A Grand Beginning
The ceremony commenced with a grand entry for Capt. Makesh Sivaram Krishnan, who was warmly received by Dr. Sanjeev S.Vakil, CEO of HIMT College, along with the Principal Capt.Anand Subramanian, faculty members and cadets. The formal welcome was a grand affair as the ETO 32 cadets demonstrated their discipline and training through a meticulously coordinated guard of honor. Led by the platoon commander, the cadets executed a flawless march, reflecting the rigorous and thorough training they had received during their time at HIMT College. Divya Jyoti Lighting and Ponnadai Ceremony
Following the warm welcome, Capt. Makesh was honored with a ‘Ponnadai’, a traditional ceremonial shawl, as a mark of respect for his distinguished presence. This gesture symbolized the reverence and appreciation the college had for its esteemed guest. Afterward, the Divya Jyoti lighting ceremony took place, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge. Capt. Makesh was invited to light the ceremonial lamp, marking the formal beginning of the pass-out ceremony and the bright future that awaited the cadets.
